I like that you tasted all of the food you had never tried before. Brave. Although it did look tasty. You are right about all the bones. They were creepy and beautiful at the same time.     You are so fortunate to be able to experience all this history. It is so obvious that you are absorbing every sight, taste and feeling!

  13. Great post! The apple does not fall far from the tree! What an awesome trip. I’m impressed with all the Great details of the stories he told! Sounds like a pretty awesome kid! He will have lots to tell teachers and friends about this year! I’m sure he won’t struggle on the subject of writing anytime soon with so many great experiences under his belt!   19. Hallo Julia! Was für ein toller Post 🙂 Ganz großen Respekt an deinen Sohn, ich hatte solchen Respekt vor dem Beinhaus in Kutná Hora. Fürchterlich gruselig fand ich das! Sein Bericht macht mir große Lust, mal wieder nach Prag zu fahren 🙂 So weit weg von München ist es ja nun nicht und ich war schon so lange nicht mehr dort.

    1. Danke Andrea! Ich werde es ihm ausrichten. Ich wünschte, ich wäre mit unserer Tochter mitgefahren aber ihr ist das viele Besichtigen und Laufen noch zu viel. Schade!

    2. Na, Prag läuft euch ja nicht davon 🙂 Ich hab gesehen, dass ihr auch in München wart. Mochtet ihr die St. Michaelskirche? Da hatten wir vor Kurzem ein Konzert und ich finde sie so so schön!
      Congrats übrigens! Euer Haus ist super toll. Ich hatte deinen Blog vor einiger Zeit durch Zufall gefunden, als ich nach Außenlösungen für Katzen gefunden habe und hab mich total gefreut, dich auf YHL zu sehen!

  20. I spent about 4 weeks in Slovakia and the Czech Republic a few years back, and we, too, visited Kutna Hora and the ossuary. It’s pretty unbelievable, and definitely one of the most unusual places I’ve been a tourist. Love your son’s post–thanks!
