On My Mind Monday: September
I survived the sleepover!! Yes! And it wasn’t even that bad but everyone involved was very tired which was predicted. My little creature had the best time which is the most important thing.
On a sad note, I got confirmation that my little Lilly cat has kidney disease. I’m so sad about this and I’m scared to deal with dealing another cat that will go into kidney failure one day not too far away. Breaks my heart.
I thought about starting monthly recaps now. I have never done this before but I like when other blogs do this in case I missed something or if it is a new to me blog.
So this is what I had been up to during the month of September:
I refinished this oak dresser (click HERE) which is for sale in my Etsy store:
I picked an inspiration fabric for my daughter’s bedroom makeover:
I failed with my vinyl backsplash:
I had to change the mirror above my sideboard because I broke my old one:
I was featured in a magazine for the first time:
I showed you guys our basement:
I made a cat litter box vinyl decal:
I added some black to our living room to get ready for Halloween:
And I refinished this dresser:
And I shared a reader mood board:
Since we are talking about readers, I want to show you a photo that was sent to me from a reader who used my gold vinyl polka dots in her nursery. She will hopefully send me some more pictures when it is all done but I love what I’m seeing so far.
Isn’t this adorable? |
Putting a recap into one post like this shows me actually how busy I really was.
September was a great month and I have lots of things planned for October.

Sorry about the kitty! 🙁 Yay for kicking September’s hiney.
You had such a busy and productive September!! You go girl! 🙂
Super monthly recap! I liked it too. You sure did get a lot of stuff done!
Das tut mir leid mit der Lilly 🙁 I am sure she couldn’t have a better person to take care of her than you.
Haha, das ist gut das die gestreifte Wand Dich in Trapp gebracht hat 😉
Wow, you did have a busy month! I will never tire of looking at photos of your beautiful home. Sorry about your little Lilly. 🙁
Glad the sleepover went well.! I actually can’t wait until the days we get to start having sleep overs and real parties (i.e. not toddler parties) at our house. I am sorry to hear about Lilly.
So sorry to hear about your cat.
I am always amazed at all you accomplish! What a September you had!
Glad to hear the sleepover went well! So sorry to hear about your cat, I know that’s so hard. I like the idea of the monthly recaps, I need to do that too.
Sleepover take it all out of me but the kids love them! Gotta do them every once in awhile right?! Love the recaps from a person who misses things for sure! Although I think I did read all of these! Can’t wait to see what you all come up with. I have a halloween table scape I’s excited to post from tomorrow. Its time!!

Both of the dressers you refinished are amazing! Looking forward to what October has in store for you!
You really have been so busy. I so wanted that fabric and very glad you went ahead and grabbed it, cause Jo-Ann’s has discontinued it. I have tried and tried to find it and then thought it was on sale for $9.99 and it is gone.
I am so behind in reading all the great stuff on here, next is to check out that fab kitty litter box.
You were a busy lady!! I should really start doing recaps too. I can’t wait to see what you get into in October!
So many great things last month!! You inspire me to get my butt in gear!!! I am obsessed with your dresser makeover, it’s so so pretty!
Sorry to hear about your fur baby. I love doing recaps and you were definitely busy last month. I will be ordering a cat decal as soon as I figure out were to put to, love!
