Say what? Dishtowel Canvas Art? I’m jumping right to the subject this Monday, after having a somewhat lazy weekend in the project department. I was busy making rainbowloom bracelets. The kids are killing me with those things. And I have been focusing on my kitty cat too which appears to be doing a little better after more and more steroids and antibiotics. Not a cure but she’s with us for a little longer.
So back to the “Dishtowel Canvas Art”. I’m sure you are wondering what the heck that means! And I’m telling you that is what the DIY feather art is that I shared with you on Friday (click HERE to see the post). I said it was ridiculously easy and it is.

I will actually hang this in our bedroom because I love it so much.
Here is what I did. I had bought a feather dishtowel from H&M and I’m so sorry to tell you that I can’t find it online anymore. Bummer! But I’m still going to share with you what I did because they have a big selection of gorgeous dishtowels.
All I did was use the dishtowel stretched and stapled over an 18″x24″ art canvas which I bought on sale at Joann’s Fabric. The dish towels are around $6 and the canvas was also $12. So I paid about $18 for the artwork. The reason why I used an art canvas is that it helps to have a white solid background behind the towel to keep it from being somewhat transparent.

So simple, right? And cheap.
That was it for today short and painless 😉
Hope you like it.
