  3. Wow–that bed is amazing! It’s a little sad when they outgrow their younger kid rooms….but at least you have an excuse to redecorate :). I love doing kid rooms

    1. Yes that is sad, gets me every time. They are fun to decorate but not when they are messy all the time and he is quite messy 😉

  5. That bed is incredible!! I’m so impressed that you got it when you were 16 and still have it!! Especially since you had to bring it to the states! You never cease to amaze me!

    1. I had it shipped over here in a container with just a few of my other favorite things. I’ve always loved it. Some things are just timeless and this definitely fits that timeless category. I’m afraid our son won’t fit into it for that long though because it is a very short bed 🙁

  6. Love the room and the bed! I have a very similar bed sitting in our garage! I was hoping to use it for one of the boys one day, but it doesn’t fit in their room now that they’re sharing. Maybe I’ll still find a place for it. 🙂

    1. I’ve seen them used as daybed sofas in living rooms and loved that too. Nice place to hang out and read a book or take a nap 😉

  9. Cant believe you got that bed when you were 16! Its so gorgeous!

    1. You should have seen the homes and antiques in Brittany, France. The estate sales were amazing!!!! And it’s always been in my blood I guess 😉

  10. Julia that bed is AMAZING!!!! I can’t believe you bought it when you were 16 – so impressive! You had an eye for design at a very early age. I also love how you paired the antique with the more modern grey striped walls, such a great contrast.

    1. Thank you Lisa! I was always interested in this kind of stuff 😉
