our shiny new faucet
When I was lucky enough to visit the 2015 HGTV Dream Home (click HERE check it out) with Delta® Faucet in December, the theme was to learn how to embrace your messy life – #HappiMess which is a struggle for me at times believe me.
We have a pretty messy life, let me tell you. My daughter is a crazy crafter, my son is a clothes throwing slob, the hubby touches everything with dirty fingers and food flies on regular basis and me… hmmmmm…I’m the cleanest person ever. Totally! Well if you read my husband’s interview (click HERE) then you know that’s totally not the truth.
I try to keep most messes confined to the kitchen though where we have our beautiful and durable quartz countertops and our beloved champagne bronze Trinsic Single Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucets with Touch2O® Technology that plan doesn’t always work out though. I just had a major melt down yesterday because our little one and her cousin decided to splatter red food coloring all over her comforter while doing a secret crafting session in her room. I might have screeched historically for a while. I have told her a million times to craft on the kitchen island.
Oh wait a minute this post was about embracing the mess LOL wasn’t it? Let’s get back in line with that theme here shall we?
Right by the kitchen is our powder room which usually ends up being my daughter’s clean up area. A) because she can reach the sink easier and B) because she can lock the door and hide her mess from me while even occasionally digging in my makeup and making a mess on her face and on the counter. Love her though 😉
I’m here to embrace her uniqueness, stubbornness and also the little budding artist that she is. I will think back with fondness and sweet memories of her discovering her inner painter. I mean look at that sweet face and all her amazing art.
The old faucet in the powder room drove me nuts though with the shiny chrome surface. Cleaning chrome can get really annoying.
The champagne bronze finish from Delta® Faucet has quickly become my favorite and I now am lucky to call myself the new owner of a champagne bronze Vero Single Handle Centerset Lavatory Faucet. It makes me frequently pet it when I use the restroom, don’t judge! And I also am beyond thrilled to have a Push Pop-Up drain stopper. I had no idea something like this existed. No more trying to wiggle around the backside of the faucet to fill up the sink. So much easier for everyone involved. Just push it down and done.
My daughter loves leaving this kind of scenario on the sink:
And like I mentioned earlier I do my makeup in this little powder room too to have peace and quite in the morning from the upstairs bathroom madness:
So besides a ruined comforter (sigh!!!!!) I can embrace our messy life style for the most part. Cough cough (don’t say a word hubby)…ahem! Totally!
Let’s say if it stays in the kitchen and powder room where I have the help from my perfect fixtures, I can embrace my own #HappiMess. I mean look at her sitting there and painting, she looks like the perfect little girl who would never even think of dragging food coloring squirters in her room, am I right?
And my Delta® FlushIQ™ Toilet (click HERE to read more) also puts me at ease that I will not have to even think about embracing a #NotSoHappiMess because lets face it there is no way that I could embrace an overflowing toilet. Happy schmappy memories no more! That’s just too much to ask of me and a toilet that senses a clog and stops it from overflowing?!?!? Hello! Now that makes mommy happy. And if you have been following me for a while then you know that with my daughter’s health issues (click HERE and HERE) we are no strangers to clogged toilets!!!
Anyways back to the faucet and drain stopper. They were a breeze to install by the way too. Let me tell you I have done my fair share of installing by now and they were the easiest by far. I even got my own private lesson at the Delta® Faucet headquarters (click HERE if you missed it).
Are you ready to see it in it’s full glory?
(Read more about my Sharpie wall treatment and polka dots ceiling HERE
and my painted polka-dot towel HERE.)
I think you can tell how much I love this little piece of bathroom jewelry, can’t you? (This was not a sponsored post but Delta® Faucet did provide me with the beautiful fixture and all opinions are 100% my own.)
And if we ever get to it we might finally install the old piece of marble we had in the garage for 15 years. That’s what happens when I can’t do something myself. It gets neglected. I just really can’t lift and cut the thing myself. Muscles do have to be involved for this one but whining about it hasn’t gotten me anywhere so far. Wish me luck.
Are you the occasional hysterical screecher like me or does embracing your family’s mess come natural to you? 😉

Oh wow, I really love the style of the new bathroom faucet! I didn’t know it came with that plate to cover existing holes from other centersets – great to know since every single centerset faucet is every bathroom in our house needs to be replaced. And I am so in love with the champagne bronze finish too. It looks so gorgeous!
It’s such a different finish and would look really cool in your house for sure.
Hi – may I ask where you found your gold cabinet hardware?
Of course you may 😉 Alissa. I bough the hardware at HobbyLobby.
i entered as much as i can! i adore your faucet and am looking for one just like it for our bathroom downstairs! it’s GLORIOUS. and i have messy artistic toilet clogging kids as well.
Thank you Cassie! Our little Missy clogged the toilet at our neighbor’s house last year. Yikes! The water went through the ceiling into the basement. I was mortified. Thankfully he is a plumber which was a very good thing 😉

My kid is 26, and he still makes a mess. What a wonderful faucet! We plan on a bathroom renovation that will take our 1940’s pink and aqua bathroom to one that has a lot of white and gray with pops of brass. It would be perfect in there.

Where did you get the towel ring in these pictures? I saw someone ask about a towel ring in another post, but your answer linked to a different towel ring. I love this one (and everything else!)
Sorry but that towel ring is a vintage item that I took from my parents house.
