    1. Thank you, I’ll tell Jarrid the hide hater that you said that 😉

  1. Love the white! Fresh and bright. Do you find that having a rug near the cook area is ok? I’ve been wanting to get one but I’m the messiest cook ever… so I’m undecided.

    1. Thanks Ashley, no so far no problem but according to my hubby it is a problem LOL

    1. Thanks Bettina. The faucet is my favorite thing ever!

    1. And I like that you didn’t immediately think of snow with all the white. Spring is what I want it to look like even though I feel like I have snow madness.

  2. oh, it looks really good! It really makes the plates stand out! And I can’t believe it was last summer that you painted it before–it seems like a week ago. time goes too fast!

    1. Oh yes it does go by way too fast and I like the white so much better now

  3. Ooooh are you maybe getting a new sofa??? If so how exciting! And thanks so much

  4. Love the hide-you gotta move it when you Swiffer! Sure hope I am the Toni that won. We are planning our master bathroom upgrade.

    1. OMG yes Toni it is you!!! Congratulations!

    2. Please let me know if you don’t receive an email from Delta and I will follow up! I’m so excited for you!

  5. Oooh I love the white wall! Yes, it looks so fresh and the cowhide looks amazing in there! So chic! (Why do boys have to be so opinionated anyway?! lol) It’s funny, I’m doing the same thing with turquoise right now, little by little, I’m losing it around the house – it looked so fresh and different a few years ago (sigh) 😉

    1. Yes, what is up with men. I’d like to actually see him swifter. I had too much of turquoise and teal over Christmas and it’s gotta go. Keeping the pillows though just in case 😉

  6. Love it! And very obsessed with that plate wall :). I’ve been toying with the idea of painting my living room shared wall white for a nice, light change.

    1. I feel like I can’t stop with the white now. Especially since it makes everything else look dirty and you feel the need to have a fresh coat of white on everything. Looks so new now.

  7. Thanks for sharing the pendant lamp source! Where did you buy the light kit you use with it?

    1. Hi Laura, it’s a can light converter kit that I bought at Lowes but they have all kinds of other pendant light kits too.

    1. Thanks! It’s certainly addicting. Especially because everything else ends up looking dirty compared to fresh white paint.

    1. Thanks, I love them so much and couldn’t bare to put them away after Christmas.

It is beautiful. I wish I could keep my kichen half as clean as you keep yours.

    1. Haha, believe me Sheryll it’s not always that clean.

  9. I love all the fresh white! I have a question for you: our home was built in the 40’s and the walls have many imperfections and the baseboards, doors and trim need to be replaced etc. I keep toying with the idea of painting a room white but am I wrong to think maybe it’s not going to achieve the fresh clean look with dingy old baseboards etc? I’m afraid it will just look old and outdated. Any thoughts?

    1. Hi Monica, I would just try it. I’m sure it will give it a fresh new look. I mean that’s what white paint does. After all it’s only paint though and if you end up hating it then you can still spend the money to update the molding. Good luck!

I really like the white walls. It’s fresh and sophisticated and really helps the plate wall stand out. Maybe there is a silver lining to all the white snow…

    1. Haha there certainly is and thanks so much

I have been phasing out color from my home as well. My living room is now all white. I really like the look. I love what you did to your kitchen and I enjoy the rug. The pattern is great and I personally like the uneven shapes, it adds interest to the area. Waiting to see what you will end up having in that space.

    1. Haha and the uneven shape is exactly what my hubby hates

  12. I love the white wall! The fridge disappears against it and the plates just pop. I would have thought the aqua wall would draw attention to your awesome plate wall, but now that the wall is white they really steal the show and look amazing!

    1. Thanks Robin, I’m so so glad the mint is gone.

  13. 1. The white looks super fresh and beautiful! 2. Love the cowhide rug against the sea of white. I love the natural/rustic element it adds. 3. I still die over how pretty your light fixture is. A picture of your kitchen on pinterest showcasing it was what brought me here in the first place ages ago!

    1. Oh really? I didn’t know that and that’s kinda awesome 😉

  14. Oh that looks so good Julia!! I love your new white walls. The plate wall looks so good against the white 🙂 Love your kitchen!!

    1. Thanks so much my friend

  17. Oh I love it! Your plate wall is epic and a white kitchen looks classic. Love your style!

    1. Thanks so so much Tracy

  18. Hi Julia,

I was wondering if you have the name of the white paint colour you used on your kitchen cabinets so they would ‘match’ your white appliances. I’m currently searching for one and I’m having some trouble so really any feedback would help. And one more thing, I’m sure this goes without saying, your home is beautiful! Thanks for all the home inspiration.

    1. Hi Ruby, they only have one white shade for the cabinet coat and I ordered it online at Home Depot. And thanks so much

Hi, I love your kitchen! I have the Rustoleum kit for my cabinets but your walls seem to really match the white appliances well. Do you know the name of your wall color? TY!

    1. Thanks Mary, the wall color is Ultra White (7006-24) by Valspar and I love it.

  20. I simply love white. For me, it connects you with purity, cleanliness and wholeness. Perfect for a kitchen!
