There is one thing I realized a couple of weeks ago that I don’t do enough, and that is decorating with photographs. We go on so many trips throughout the year and especially the summer and take amazing photos but besides a photo book here and there, I barely ever develop any of those precious photos. That clearly needs to end. And when Snapfish contacted me to team up with them, I couldn’t jump fast enough at the chance to add some of those photos to our home.
(This post was created in partnership with Snapfish. All opinions are my own.)
I wanted to create a focal wall with an additional pattern that would complement our family photos and to take it away from a traditional gallery wall.
I had my eye on the Quadrille Sigourney wallpaper for a while but didn’t know when and where I could use the pattern but when I was thinking about this project it just made sense. I made my pattern in Illustrator again (the same way I explained HERE) and cut it on my silhouette. All I had to do is stick it on the walls. My pattern is smaller than the original because I can’t cut it as big (I wish I could) and it is also totally symmetrical which the original isn’t.
I wanted to make a fun gif and had snapped away so many photos but right in the middle of things I didn’t pay attention and my husband just moved the camera. What? All that snapping for nada? Come on! So now I don’t have a fun little gif-movie for you, sorry about that.
Do you recognize my daughter’s desk? Well I want to keep it and get her a bigger one. It’s perfect here and more the size of a sideboard anyways than a desk:
And then it was time to add the beautiful photos I had ordered from the Snapfish Canvas & Decor section (click HERE).
I ordered a 16×20 wrapped canvas of my children which I took at my niece’s christening in front of the church in Germany, black framed 11×14 of us in the Swiss Alps, a black framed 8×10 photo of my kids together in the dunes of Avalon, and two separate small 5×7 black framed photos of my kids. What i love so much is that photos come framed like a piece of art. Look at the back of it. They make the perfect present for a loved one.
This is the first time I have ever gotten a photo as a wrapped canvas and I love the dimension it gives the photo and how it stands out from the other framed photographs. Just look at the following photos with all the added accessories.
Did you know that you can join the Snapfish Superfans Consumer program where you can also share content and have opportunities to win prizes and rewards? Head on over to the Snapfish Superfans page by clicking HERE.
I will promise to myself to develop more photos of our beautiful family to decorate with around the house.
Have a great week my friends.
