    1. Thanks Lindsay! Loved having you here and Gracie looks like the perfect companion. Her face is so sweet and loving.

  1. Julia, I love this series and The White Buffalo! I want to meet that Gracie 🙂 She is too funny!

  2. Love Lindsay & White Buffalo! The picture of Gracie “sitting” on Lindsay’s lap made me laugh out loud. 🙂

    1. Cassie, they are seriously the best. And they are playful, but considered very low energy so she really lays around a lot. I always worried about having a dog in the house period, but having her has blown me away. She’s obedient, but really lazy so she isn’t too much of a handful.

  3. Forgot something…would you maybe consider doing a post about losing a pet? I know it’s heart-breaking, but it might help those of us out there who have lost our sweet companions. Hugs, Amy

We have 2 dogs kathy and Coco and my life would not be the same without them. In the summer when we go 2 month back home we always take them with me. I could not imagine that they had to stay here. Mignonne

    1. I completely understand you! It’s the same for me too! Couldn’t imagine a life without them

  5. This series is so great, Julia! And I loved getting to know more about that special pup!!

PS-I’m pretty sure Perny thinks most projects are for him too HA!

This post just touches my heart and makes me miss our sweet dog, Misty! We are looking into adopting another rescue very soon as our house is just so empty without a dog. Pets are just the best!

  7. Aww–I love Great Danes! We thought of looking for one back when we got our shaggy sheepdog….we were a little scared off by how much they eat, though! 🙂

  8. Gracie is so adorable and HUGE. Oh my gosh! Love all the patterns that Lindsay uses in her home! Glad they are Gracie approved! 😉

  9. This is such a fun series. I LOVE Gracie already. You can just sense that sweet spirit. But this post was really bad for me… now I’m thinking I *need* a great dane. Andy will kill me. 🙂

  10. This is such a sweet post. Gracie is so lucky to have such caring owners.

Love that pic of her looking out the window!

  13. Wow, did you make a winning choice!!! Great Danes are the most kind, sweet, gentle, lovable, wonderful dogs I have met……. I LOVE them. Gracie is just gorgeous! You are a lucky, very lucky girl. in fact I will go so far as to say that God surely loves you….. you chose Gracie.

  14. I just came accross this post and had to tell you how much I loved reading it. We adopted a Great Dane/newfoundland puppy last year from the Human Society. It was teeny tiny at the time, now she can easily rest her chin on the counter too. She’s also a lap dog, and often sits with her hind legs sitting on couch and front lets on floor. She is hilarious! Thanks for sharing about Gracie. Our’s is named Jovi (after BonJovi)

    1. I’m so glad you like Gracie’s story Bette and it sounds like your Jovi is just as sweet.
