So today I’m super excited to show you some updates that go more with the rest of my home. It’s easy to change a look with accessories if you have some timeless key pieces like my bed and chaise. Both are sadly not available anymore. I received a new duvet cover and shams from my favorite bedding company which is Crane & Canopy who generously sent me the Linden Black Border Duvet and Shams (click HERE). Do you remember my coral and blush look from a while back with the their duvet? Click HERE if you missed it. It is classic, stylish and luxurious, highest quality extra long staple cotton, with weaves ranging in the 300-400 thread count bedding and I’m clearly a huge fan. The photos say it all! I love the simple and elegant look that can be transformed quickly for different looks with the right accessories.
They also sell their sheets separately so if you don’t use a top sheet you don’t need to purchase one. This is a pet peeve of mine because in Germany you don’t use a top sheet and I hate buying sheets which have one which always goes straight into my paint cover stash. Tell me I’m not the only one who hates top sheets? All this girl needs is a beautiful duvet cover. I also love that their duvets have corner ties and easy care zippers. Ain’t nobody have time for buttons, a zipper is so much better.

And lets talk about that throw shall we? It’s a show stopper and works well with everything else in the room. It is the pyramids throw (HERE) from Happy Habitat by Karrie Kaneda. You can read more about Karrie HERE and how funny and awesome she is. I know for sure that this throw will be in a forever rotation at my house because it is so versatile and gorgeous. (Love THIS one from her too which is very similar)
I knew I was heading into a more neutral direction for fall and winter before heading to Germany when I posted about my living room HERE. So when it was time to pick a rug over the summer, I knew what I was looking for.

It is a true vintage Moroccan Beni Ourain rug and I couldn’t love it more. My hometown rug shop has a shop on 1stdibs too which you can see HERE. And in case you missed my new flooring post over the summer, you can see the new bamboo floors by clicking HERE. I love how everything looks and having a bedroom that makes me so happy. When I received my rug, I wanted to place it into my living room though. It would also look so so pretty layered on top of my other rug and I might still do that this winter for a more cozy winter look.
I love a little added color too. I found this cranberry pillow in one of my stashes and I might put it right there on my chaise whenever I feel like I need a little more color.
Here are the links to most of the items in the post: similar chaise HERE, similar lamps HERE, similar bedding HERE and HERE, throw HERE and similar HERE, boho pillows (HERE), leopard pillows (HERE), longhorn (remember mine was a find from Craigslist but you can find a similar one HERE, similar nightstands HERE and mine are Ikea, bed is Magnussen Furniture which is discontinued but you can find a similar bed HERE, HERE and HERE, similar rug HERE, fur HERE.
You guys probably think I’m slightly obsessed with changing things up and you are right. It’s way too much fun and I love doing it. Meanwhile I’ve been working on some other things and severely dragging my feet with my staircase project. Talk to you on Wednesday.
