Hope you guys had a great weekend. My little one had her first dance on Saturday. It’s bittersweet to see her get ready with her friends and drive them to the dance. I’m happy to still be welcomed at her dance and not have her push me out of the door. She’s still more comfortable with knowing that I’m right there should she need me.
Her and I are also working on her Halloween costume again. And just like the other years before we are using a plain cotton dress shirt to help her with her sensory issues regarding clothing. I’m hoping I can share that with you soon.
So today I want to show you another quick change I made to our kitchen. The minute I hung up the new wood bead pendant I made (click HERE if you missed the tutorial), I knew I had to finally change the kitchen stools. I’ve been talking about this for months now on Instagram. So a simple black change was the perfect change. Don’t get me wrong, I still love the turquoise I had in the kitchen but when I’ve lived with something for a while and have taken so many photos of it for the blog, I tend to really get tired of it and in this post I can show you what a simple little change can do to your home.
There is no need to do a big overhaul sometimes. I’ve always wanted highend stools but they are mostly a larger size, at least the ones I have found, and then I can’t fit 5 kids at the counter. And you simply can’t beat the price of these simple wooden chairs (click HERE). You can find my original tutorial by clicking HERE by the way and I’m not going to revisit every single step in this post. You can just check out the old one.

Find the window valance tutorial HERE.
And here is a side-by-side of the turquoise accents and the black ones.
Such a simple and cheap update that has a big impact and satisfies my need for change 😉
The kitchen now fits in better with the rest of the house again, don’t you think so?
