The last 6 month
I can’t believe half of 2016 is over already. I don’t do monthly round-ups like other blogs but after half a year has passed and I have gained some new followers here and there I’d liked to see if someone maybe missed a post. It also helps to put things into perspective for myself to show me that I do get things accomplished. You see the pretty pictures most of the time but a lot of times my house feels like a mess to me with so many projects started but not finished. Like my stairs… cough cough they are still not finished I know. So for me it’s nice to look back at the finished things instead of the projects that are in my face everyday that aren’t finished yet.
When you write a blog like this you start being very critical with yourself and see all the things that aren’t finished and all the things that all the other blogs get done. I don’t like when I do that. The most difficult is when I see the blogs who have an actual nice budget with contractors and these amazing room makeovers with designer furniture and what comes along with that. That’s not how things are for us. I overthink things and what we really need and what I can do for cheaper. But I also know that I’m still very lucky with what we have. It is most definitely more than enough and I’m not complaining. I am most grateful for the life we live even if it has the standard family struggles and ups and downs. We all have them, I’m sure of it.
